New contact information + updates about recipes

Hi readers! I wanted to keep you updated, since I have been receiving your emails and comments daily, even in the absence of new recipes. THANK YOU! I love hearing from individuals who share my passion for living and cooking sugar-free. You guys rock.

I have created a new email account that’s just for Healthy Indulgences questions and comments. That way, I won’t miss any of your emails. You have my sincerest apologies if you have contacted me for a question, and I have not responded to you! I hold off on responding to blog-related queries till I have addressed emails related to academic and personal matters. Hopefully with a separate account for Healthy Indulgences, there will be no more emails buried and forgotten about in my personal inbox.

My summer coursework has taken me out of the kitchen and kept me in the classroom. When I can “find my groove” and feel confident juggling class, cooking, and blogging, I will start posting again!

To those of you who have donated, I am thanking you right here, now, from the bottom of my heart! I appreciate the financial support, since I am still finishing my undergraduate education.

To summarize:
A) New email account for Healthy Indulgences (healthyindulgencesblog@gmail.com, which is posted on the sidebar <—) B) My apologies for missed emails C) Thank you for your support! Hope you are enjoying your summer! Feel free to let me know in the comments if there are any summer dessert recipes you’d like to see recreated as low carb, gluten-free treats.

Best,
Lauren

Yes! I was hoping you were OK. School is definitely the modern young man's cave these days–I'm in the same boat! Or, the same cave. ;)

I would love to see a rendition of Butter Pecan Ice Cream. I am thinking that I might already have a recipe down for this, but I would like to see what you can come up with.

Also, maybe those Little Debbie Star Crunch? I think I might have that recipe as well; but again, would love to see your take on it (if you know what I'm even talking about!).

So glad you are sending updates. Even if you don't have a recipe, please continue to send us tidbits here and there on what's happening!

    Thanks Lauren,

    Brandon

I would love to see some sort of recipe for cinnamon buns. I don't eat gluten either, and I've really been missing these treats. I don't have any idea how to make them without sugar or wheat.

    Think you can do it?

  • Brandon

Ooh, Piper. Yes, that would be a great recipe to see done gluten and grain free! I wouldn't know where to start.

Hi there… just discovered this blog – everything looks yummy! Just wanted to share a great online shop for almond flour, coconut flour, and a lot more yummy healthy stuff http://www.digestivewellness.com. I use their stuff all the time!

I would like a Tres Leches recipe converted to sugar free- gluten free. Love your blog, love the recipes, thanks

Lauren, Thanks so much for this amazing blog!! You've really helped my family enjoy food again and its wonderful. Every single recipe I've tried has been excellent! We would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see some yummy chewy gooey caramel recipes. I miss it soooo much, even dream I'm eating it LOL. I did try the caramel sauce, YUM!!

Brandon! Thank you for your thoughtful comment. I like your analogy with school and caves! Butter Pecan ice cream is one of my favorite desserts–added this to the list of current projects. ;) Those little debbie starcrunches were AWESOME. You totally took me back to 5th grade, when my mom packed those kinds of little treats in my lunch box. I will certainly let you know if I can crack that, haha. Thanks again, Brandon, for your comment.

Erica – Carrot cake! Cannoli! Great ideas…

Piper – Cinnamon buns? Can you read my mind? LOL! I will certainly try those and let you know if I make any progress.

dena – Thank you for sharing the shop link!

Anon – Tres Leches cake, mm! I think I've tried that. Would have to try another slice to see if I can get the taste right, LOL. I'd have to see if a local restaurant made this… or make a small portion of a high carb recipe from the internet myself! Thanks for the idea.

Martina – Really appreciate the love, all the way from Chile! Wow. :) I'm honored that you've tried my recipes. Thanks for the nice comment! I am going to be posting for another couple of months at least until school starts up again, so stay tuned, Martina… :D

dreamweaver – Gooey caramel, ooh! That's a tough one. I've tried, and haven't come up with caramel that stays gooey and smooth for any length of time. I might give it another shot if there's time! Glad you've had success with the recipes. :)

Do you have any updates? I love your last recipe: lime pie.

  • Kay

I second bread pudding! I would also love to see any yummy ice cream made without an ice cream maker.

Hmm… cinnamon rolls are also great! I have been craving them ever since I went lowcarb.

  • bookgoddess

So happy to see you back! I too would LOVE to see a cinnamon bun
    recipe, love those things.

I sure hope a publisher chooses your blog to publish soon, save
    me all the printing, lol!

Looking forward to all yummy recipes you come up with!
